Is this a corporate gift we can put through the books?
In Slovakia, a promotional item kept under the statutory threshold is treated as a deductible advertising expense, and an engraved wooden box with your logo is usually well inside it. The rules differ from country to country, so confirm the treatment in yours with your accountant — we make the object, not the tax advice.
How fine can the engraving be?
The laser holds detail to 0,1 mm, so the limit is not the machine but the grain underneath the letters. A phone number reads cleanly at the size you would print it on a business card. We show you the engraved panel before anything is cut, and if a piece of text is going too small we say so then.
Can you engrave our logo on it?
Yes. The logo is cut into the wood in the same pass as everything else, so it sits in the surface rather than on it and there is nothing to peel. Send a vector file if you have one; if you only have an image, send the largest version and we will tell you whether it holds at the size you want.
Is there a minimum order?
No. A single engraved piece and a run of several thousand are both normal work here. A single personalised piece costs more per unit, because preparing the drawing is the same work either way, and there is no obligation to order more afterwards.
If we order again later, will it match?
Yes. We keep the drawing, the settings and a note of the sheet we used, so a second run is the same object rather than a near miss. It is also why a repeat order takes less time than the original one did.
What is it made of, and is it finished?
Plywood, cut on our own laser and sanded by hand afterwards until the edges are smooth and splinter-free. It is left bare: no varnish, no lacquer, no plastic. That is why it feels the way it does, and it also means it is not a wipe-clean surface.
