Description
Character and tasting
In music, scherzando means “playfully” — and this pearl wine takes the instruction literally. A gentle 2.3 bar of bubbles lifts a dry, low-alcohol blend of Furmint and Yellow Muscat grown on 40-year-old vines in the volcanic Koldu and Betsek vineyards. Pale lemon in colour, very lively and aromatic on the nose: honeysuckle, grape blossom and fresh must notes, tropical fruit shaded with citrus lime. The sip is vivid and light-textured — green apple and lime freshness, a defined bubble structure and rich acidity carry its perfumed aromatics.
At the table
First and foremost an aperitif. After that: salty, crispy bites, tempura and cucumber maki, garlicky prawns, scallop ceviche — and it gets along surprisingly well with a lemony cheesecake, too.

Frequently asked questions
What does “gyöngyöző” mean?
It is the Hungarian word for a pearl wine — the category between still and fully sparkling. Scherzando carries 2.3 bar of pressure: a fine, defined bubble rather than the full force of a sparkling wine, which is exactly what makes it such an easy aperitif.
How should I serve it?
Well chilled, as the opener of the evening. It loves salty, crispy bites, tempura, cucumber maki, garlicky prawns and scallop ceviche — and it even handles a lemony cheesecake.
Where do the grapes come from?
From the volcanic Koldu and Betsek vineyards in Tokaj, Hungary, where our partner winery Harmónia Szőlőbirtok works with 40-year-old Furmint and Yellow Muscat vines.
Is it really low in alcohol?
Yes — Scherzando is a dry pearl wine made in a deliberately light, low-alcohol style. It is wine all the same, though — for adults aged 18 and over only, to be enjoyed responsibly.
How does delivery work?
Every bottle ships carefully packed from our Slovak workshop, typically within 2–5 working days across Central Europe. The 2025 vintage was bottled in June 2026 under screw cap — it arrives fresh and ready to chill.
