🪵 Each piece is cut from wood with precision, then finished with a colour layer on the reverse. Red, green, blue and natural white all look striking strung among the lights.

What is the ornament made from?
Natural plywood, cut on our own laser here in the workshop and sanded by hand before it ships. The wood is left bare — no varnish, no plastic coating — so it keeps the grain and the smell of real wood. Several motifs are backed with coloured felt or paper, which gives the shape contrast against a dark tree.
Can it be engraved with a name or a logo?
Yes. Engraving at 0.1 mm precision is what this workshop does every day, and there is no minimum quantity: one ornament with a child's name and a run of several hundred for a company are both ordinary orders here. A personalised piece starts as a drawing, so ask and you get a price for the quantity you actually want.
Is the wood treated or varnished?
No, and that is deliberate — but it has a consequence worth knowing before you buy. Bare wood is not a wipe-clean surface. Water leaves a mark on it and damp will warp a thin cut-out, so it belongs on the tree and in a dry cupboard, not near a radiator humidifier or a steamy kitchen.
How should I store it between Christmases?
Dry, at room temperature, lying flat in a box rather than loose in a bag where fine cut-out details catch on each other and snap. Dust it with a dry cloth. Do not wash it and do not soak it — wood that has been wet does not come back to the shape it was cut in.
Can you cut a motif that is not in the shop?
Yes. A custom motif begins as a drawing, which we prepare before anything is cut, and that is also why there is no price list for it — the figure depends on the drawing and the quantity. Send the idea, a sketch or a logo through the consultation form and you get a real number back.
Where are these made?
In our own family workshop in Gemer, Slovakia. Everything is cut here on our machine and finished by hand. Own capacity is around 10,000 pieces a month, and larger runs go out together with two partner workshops.
